The Pressure sensitive material installed on the product from the factory is for PERMANENT Bonding. The Bond is extremely strong and long lasting. You should not have to replace this material unless the Barrier is used in very adverse conditions.
In our directions, we do remind you not to attach the collar to your food holder until you are sure that you have the correct spot located on the food holder.
